Joshua Torres is the Founder and President of Wings Of An Angel Aviation, a veteran-owned flight training organization built around a simple belief: quality flight training should be professional, disciplined, and accessible.

Before entering professional aviation, Joshua served 12 years in the United States Marine Corps, where he held numerous leadership and operational positions and was responsible for leading and developing Marines in demanding environments. His military career instilled the standards of leadership, accountability, safety, and attention to detail that now form the foundation of Wings Of An Angel Aviation.

After leaving the Marine Corps, Joshua pursued his passion for aviation and earned his Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor certificates. As a flight instructor, he has helped aspiring aviators develop not only the skills necessary to earn their certificates, but also the judgment, discipline, and confidence required to become safe professional pilots.

Joshua founded Wings Of An Angel Aviation with a larger mission in mind. His goal is to create a flight training organization that provides high-quality instruction while making aviation more attainable for veterans, young people, and others who may have believed becoming a pilot was financially out of reach.

Under his leadership, Wings Of An Angel Aviation is being built for more than flight training. The long-term vision is to develop an aviation organization capable of serving its community through professional pilot development, aircraft operations, and eventually charter and air medical transportation.

For Joshua, Wings Of An Angel Aviation represents the continuation of a career dedicated to leadership and service—this time, through aviation.

Sierra is a CFI, CFII, and MEI who loves sharing her passion for aviation and helping students become safe, confident pilots. Inspired by her grandfather, an airline captain, she turned a lifelong love of flying into a career—and discovered along the way that she loves teaching just as much as being in the cockpit.

At Wings Of An Angel Aviation, Sierra works with students from their very first flight through advanced ratings. Her goal is to keep training fun, encouraging, and personalized while making sure her students truly understand what they’re learning—not just memorize enough to pass a checkride.

When she’s not instructing, you can usually still find her around airplanes, building time toward her own dream of becoming an airline captain.

Christopher Nelson is the Co-Owner and Head of Marketing for Wings of an Angel Aviation, where his passion for aviation, community involvement, and helping others pursue their dreams come together.

Born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, Christopher developed a love for aviation and airplanes at an early age. Growing up, he dreamed of serving in the military, earning his pilot’s license, and becoming a pilot. Although circumstances beyond his control prevented him from pursuing a military career, his passion for aviation never faded.

For the past 20 years, Christopher has worked as a Class A CDL truck driver, building a career grounded in dedication, responsibility, and hard work. At the same time, he has remained deeply involved in his community and in organizations that support youth and future generations.

Christopher spent 10 years as Vice President of the West Pasco Girls Fastpitch Softball Association, where he was responsible for marketing, fundraising, and coordinating Opening Day activities. His commitment to community service continues today as he serves as President of the Clearwater Composite Squadron Booster Club, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds and supporting the Clearwater Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol.

Aviation is also a family passion. Christopher's daughter is a Cadet in the Civil Air Patrol and has been pursuing her aviation goals as a student pilot with Joshua Torres for the past two years. Watching her pursue her dreams has only strengthened Christopher's desire to help others discover the opportunities that aviation can provide.

Today, Christopher works alongside Joshua Torres at Wings of an Angel Aviation, bringing his experience in marketing, fundraising, community outreach, and leadership to the organization. His mission is simple: to help make aviation accessible to those who dream of becoming pilots and to give people the opportunity to turn that dream into reality.

Christopher believes that circumstances may sometimes change our path, but they don't have to take away our dreams. Through Wings of an Angel Aviation, he hopes to inspire others to pursue their passion for aviation, earn their pilot's license, and experience the freedom and excitement of flight.
